What an absolutely wonderful day our charity event turned out to be! We would like to extend huge thank yous to everyone who supported our event whether it be from donations, sponsorship's, playing or volunteering. With out all your support the event would not have been as successful as it was! Hitting our target of £5,000 is such an amazing achievement and the awareness raised for Histio was even bigger!

We kicked off 8pm Friday 27th July armed strong with plenty of players and supplies. Our player through out the 24 hours consisted of our Soccer School Kids from all four of our age groups, to our Open Age League players, to our Veteran League players to our Walking Footballers! Of course not forgetting 12 of the Soccer Staff! The challenge was to play a consecutive 24 hour game with no stopping with at least one member of staff on the pitch at all times throughout the duration of the 24 hours. And we are thrilled to say WE DONE IT!

The legend of the day Jack Daley came down to participate from 12pm on Saturday, clocking up a good few goals against our Walking Footballers and staff to. We think his new kit gave him awesomely super strong footballing powers! Counting down just before 8pm Saturday Jack managed to get one last goal just before the final whistle was blown - he definitely earned him self top goal scorer of the match! Absolutely amazing to have played along side such a strong and inspirational young lad! Well done Jack.

Another mention to Ron, aka the scary Dino who managed to bring so much joy and laughter to a lot of the children on the family fun day - but also terrified some little ones (oh dear) and Tracey who became best friends with Henry Hoover and tackled the mess of our full event!

All in all the whole event was just amazing. With out all of your continued support we could not have hosted such a wonderful event! From all of us here at The Soccer Dome, thank you all for being part of our Soccer Dome Family. The community of people we have is just overwhelming and makes our hearts swell with pride from out tiniest tots at the age of 18 months old all the way to our 80 year old footballers and everyone in between. We are very grateful to have each and everyone of you with the same philosophy about football who come down and advocate all that is good about the beautiful game. Together we make one strong footballing family with each passing day gets bigger and better which we are all so proud to be a part of! Days like these just prove that together we can achieve something special! Here is to our next one - which all the staff may just already be planning!
